Standish Community Welcomes Family Fare to the Neighborhood
Ribbon cutting ceremony and four weeks of grand re-opening events scheduled
Grand Rapids, Mich. June 15, 2012 – The Standish community will notice much more than just a new sign and name change at the Monday, June 18, 2012 10 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony for the Grand Re-Opening of the Family Fare Supermarket located at 533 S. Main St, Standish, MI 48658. Spartan Stores invested $1.2 million in a major remodeling of the former Glen’s Market store, and is celebrating with four weeks of store promotions. Media is invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony.
“We are so excited to unveil our store improvements and showcase our Welcome Center, and many new and expanded departments, all created to improve quality, freshness and enhance our customers’ shopping experience,” noted Ray Mielke, Store Director for the Standish Family Fare. “We love being a part of the Standish community, and our store remodeling efforts are just one example of how we are continually investing in the communities we serve.”
Because value is so important to shoppers these days, the store offers many new-featured promotions under the Family Fare banner. More featured product savings at the front of the store, Baskets of Values, ad pricing and product offers will help consumers stretch their food dollars. The fun and festivities kick off with the June 18th ribbon cutting ceremony. The public is welcome to attend and enjoy entertainment, special promotions, and giveaways (see store for details).
The $1.2 million remodeling involved both interior and exterior enhancements. Throughout the store, guests will find improvements, including an expanded fresh produce department, new hot and service deli displays, expanded dairy, all new, easy to shop, fresh meat and seafood display fixtures, expanded frozen foods section and new bakery displays. Customers will also enjoy the new exterior façade and painting and interior signage and graphic décor.
